I offer works in acrylic on stretched canvas, with painted sides. A small number are oils or drawings. Those not already framed can be hung without frames. All are wired, ready to hang; I sign and date the back. I offer free shipping in the USA. I pack carefully; and use FedEx home delivery.
I am a contemporary realist because I am infatuated with the way things look; my pieces show who I am in the way I render the work. One reviewer said, "The difference [with] her art is that she is able to add even more to what is already beautiful....To me her art "bolds."
I would be happy to arrange private showings by appointment in New York City. This next section is just a bio, so I encourage you to skip to the art work. But if you must, here is more data about me.
Prior to my art career, I was a professor at the School of Health Sciences, Hunter College, City University of New York. I authored four books, directed a masters program in health services administration, and pioneered courses in critical thinking and writing. That was another life!
Since I came back to my first love, painting, I have had solo shows in Manhattan and have been accepted to over 25 juried shows. My public art includes "Crosswalk Gestures," at Hunter College, Manhattan.
A profile of my figural work and the development of my palette appeared in American Artist Magazine, November 2002. A column about my Aquarium Series (In The Deep) appeared in Watermarks, Summer 2006. My painting, The Shell Monument, was the August selection in The Emerging Artists 2007 Calendar.
If you have read this far, thanks! Now please enjoy my work!! [
